Travelling was always an important aspect of Helena’s life. As a child Helena travelled a lot with her family and later in life started to explore other countries with friends and family.

Veikka Gustafsson joins Expeditionary Team (2009-10-22 16:43:19)


May I introduce to you our new leading team member Mr. Veikka Gustafsson. Veikka is 41-year-old professional mountain climber. He lives in Kirkkonummi, Finland. Veikka (pronounced "Vey-ka") began his climbing career in 1986 by climbing Europe's tallest mountain, Mont Blanc in France. Since then his adventures have taken him to all fourteen 8000-meter peak summits without supplemental oxygen. He is the ninth person in the world to achieve this. Veikka has conquered the world's tallest mountain Mount Everest three times.

Antarctic Challenge signs for Euro 1.5 million funding (2009-07-24 16:41:16)


An agreement was signed today between Monetalis GmbH (Frankfurt-Germany) and M. T. Visual GmbH & CO. KG whereby Euro 1.5 million will be invested into the Antarctic Challenge expedition. The funds will mainly be used to purchase the fuel and to establish a solid financial position for the Antarctic Challenge production.

Former team member John Evans dies (2009-05-29 16:40:50)


Unfortunately one of our team members and a good friend has passed away.

John Evans
our teacher, from whom we learned many aspects of mountaineering, slipped off a cliff in Wales several days ago and fell to his death. Unfortunately every medical assistance John received after his rescue failed and we lost a very humbled partner and friend.

Educational documentary DVD for schools worldwide (2009-04-06 16:39:00)


An agreement has been reached between IQ Store –Sydney and M. T. Visual International for IQ Store to guarantee a pre-sale and sale of a minimum of 2 million copies of the Antarctic Challenge educational documentary (approximately $70 million revenue) to schools internationally. IQ Store has stated that they have several million schools on their database and therefore the amount of sales mentioned above is not unrealistic.

Dear Visitors

Many of you will ask when the Antarctic Expedition is going to happen.
Many months have been spent making further arrangements to assure that this expedition will be a success, not only in film and print but also financially.

This cinema movie & documentary will hopefully be a stepping stone to create a structure for many documentary producers worldwide to understand the concept of producing a cinema movie & a documentary without having financial failures as so often experienced. Please be assured that I personally have experienced such failures with some of my clients.

Training in Alaska (2007-06-17 16:07:15)


Finally I have some time to inform you about our training in Alaska.

Since our return from Alaska at the end of March I had to make several visits to Europe to meet with ALE and the underwriters. Therefore time just was not available to write an update. Unfortunately it was only possible for Brian, Linda, John and I to participate. Lucie, John, Gerlinde & Ralf had other commitments. All of them are experienced in trekking through the ice in the Antarctic. We will all catch up at a later training session.

This trip, trekking through the wilderness of Alaska was just fantastic. To be able to manage your daily routine and trekking in such a cold climate is definitely a challenge.
