Mr Kevin Lau

Kevin is the creator and maintainer of many websites in Australia. Kevin is also the manager of the Antarctic Challenge 2009 – 2012 website www.antarcticchallenge.net and Bernd’s international business website www.groupinternational.info .

Kevin first started to build websites in 1996 as a hobby and has since pursued his dream of turning of his hobbies and interests into a fun career. The clients Kevin is looking after range from solicitors to financial advisors, film production companies and retail operators all over Australia. Kevin’s new market is now Europe, especially Germany where several companies are requesting his services due to its high quality.

Kevin also loves outdoor adventures and getting involved in challenges where true colours must be shown. Kevin is also training to one day to participate in an event M. T. Visual International may stage.

Digital photography and digital video caught his interest in the early 2000 where he photographed models, weddings and places of interest. Now he combines these with his outdoor adventure interests while travelling all over Australia and would like to become more involved in travel video and still photography.

During the Antarctic Challenge, Kevin will also be the line of communications between the 5 expeditionary teams, the base camp and Australia. Kevin’s responsibility is as high as the teams walking to the South Pole as he is responsible for all the internet and communication aspects. This is not a walk in the park because, as like all of us, Kevin has to get use to working in an unforgiving climate and cold environment.

The Antarctic Challenge team has been working with Kevin for well over 5 years and Kevin has been a very important part of the management team. When Kevin was requested to make changes to the website of the Antarctic Challenge, it was done immediately. Therefore the Antarctic Challenge management team knows that Kevin is very reliable and can trust Kevin to perform whilst the teams are walking towards the South Pole
